Server Installation, Support & Backups
Wolfatek installs, migrates, repairs and maintains business servers — from a first server to a full cluster — and protects what is on them with onsite and offsite backups designed to get you running again fast.
What We Do
The aim is to do things the right way the first time, and to make sure a failure costs you minutes rather than days.
Server installations & migrations
Whether it is your first server or an entire cluster.
- New server installations
- Virtual machine migrations (VMware, Microsoft Hyper-V)
- Storage capacity upgrades
Server repairs
- Failed Windows updates and boot-up problems
- Malware and ransomware infections
- Failed RAID, hard and virtual disks
- Slow servers and poor performance
- Dead servers, motherboards and power problems
- Corrupt file systems and virtualisation problems
Support & maintenance
Brands we support include Intel, Fujitsu, SuperMicro, Hewlett Packard and Dell, running Microsoft Windows Server, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, CentOS, FreeBSD and Solaris.
- Routine maintenance for longevity and performance
- Parts replacement: motherboards, disks, memory
- Operating system updates and diagnosis
- Backups and restoration
Onsite backups
Your first resort when something goes wrong: live RAID mirrors, external drives, NAS and SAN storage. Image backups restore a whole machine — operating system and data — after a complete disk failure; file backups recover deleted or changed files. We use both, to keep recovery fast and complete.
Offsite cloud backups
Packages are tailored to the space you need.
- Automated, live backups to our secure cloud infrastructure
- Incremental transfer to minimise bandwidth and line congestion
- Access by secure website, SFTP, file share over VPN, or desktop and mobile clients
How long would recovery really take?
Ask us to evaluate your current backups. We test real-life recovery time and uncover weak spots before a failure does it for you.

Questions people ask
What is the difference between an image backup and a file backup?
An image backup is a snapshot of a whole machine — operating system and data — and gives the fastest recovery after a complete disk failure, but needs more space. A file backup copies selected files and folders: good for recovering deleted or changed files, but it will not restore your operating system.
Do you migrate servers to virtual machines?
Yes — virtual machine migrations on VMware and Microsoft Hyper-V, as well as new installations and upgrades.
How do offsite backups reach your cloud?
Automatically, as live backups using incremental transfer, so only what changed is sent and your line is not congested.
Can you check whether our backups would actually work?
Yes. We evaluate your onsite backups, test real-life recovery time and point out weak areas.
